PK's Observations On Relationships

It was Saturday night and I had gone out to see movie PK with my family followed by dinner. I was deeply moved by the observations made by the character PK about our planet earth. Why Are We Blind To Our Own Mistakes

We all make mistakes. There are times when we accept our mistakes, learn from our mistakes and move on in life. However most of the times, we don’t own up to our mistakes. Talk by BK Shivani on Harmony in Relationships

Last Saturday, my wife told me that she was planning to spend the weekend with her parents. She gave me free passes for Sunday evening of a talk by BK Shivani on “Harmony in Relationships”. Most of you would have listened to BK Shivani on television in programme “Awakening with Brahma Kumaris”. My wife knows my inclination to listening to spiritual discourses whenever possible. Sapolsky explains that in humans and other animals, body’s response to stress is the same. When Zebras runs for their life from chasing lion, basics are all that matter. Lungs work overtime to pump mammoth quantities of oxygen into the blood streams. The heart braces to pump that oxygen to throughout the body. So muscles respond instantly. You need your blood pressure to deliver that energy. You run for your life. Body turns off anything that is not essential, be it growth, reproduction, tissue repair or any other repair to a later time if the zebra survives. But as soon as Zebra escapes his death, its stress response shuts down.
