Every Problem Has A Solution

We all know life is a mixture of joy and sorrow. There are times when we are flying high riding on the wings of Success. Similarly there are times when the tides are against us. The feeling is as if we are falling off a cliff in free fall with no ray of hope, nobody who will provide a helping hand.

Most of us tend to forget the happy moments of our life and focus on the bitter experiences and problematic situations of our life. The result is that we are neither able to enjoy life fully nor we are able to overcome problems in life. Ultimately we fail to explore our true potential in life.

Challenges faced by young team leaders

Have you been recently elevated to the profile of a team leader and are wondering, how you will be able to effectively lead the team? Or you have been in a team leader’s profile for less than a year now, and are facing challenges in managing the team. This article tries to figure out challenges faced by young team leader at some point or the other. And by putting things in proper perspective, how you can transform yourself into an effective team leader.

  • Balancing Delegation and Supervision – The biggest challenge faced by young team leaders is that they find it very difficult to delegate important jobs and processes to their team members. Team leaders feel that they are perfectionist and hence they try to do important jobs on their own. They lack faith in the abilities of their team members and fear that if they delegate, the team members will not do the job with perfection and sincerity. Hence they prefer to do the job on their own than to get it done through their subordinates. On the other hand, we have team leaders who delegate work to the team members and then don’t supervise the progress as well as quality of work at all. The result is the assigned job goes for a toss and performance of boss as well as team is adversely affected. As a team leader, one needs to put proper checks and controls in all processes. He should be on top of everything that is concerned with his team.

Choosing a Career in Sales or Operations

Question mark Confusion - 3d people - man, person and...

One thing that keeps bothering you when you are in College is that whether you should go for a Career in Sales or Operations. Today we will try to figure out how to choose a career which is built around the positive traits of your personality and which will bring Growth and Satisfaction in your Professional life. You need to keep following points in mind which will help in taking an informed decision about choosing your career : -
  •  Understanding your Personality type - Having worked in middle management level in Operations department in financial services industry for 16 years and the close interaction with sales people at all levels during this period has made me understand that there is vast difference in personalities of Sales and Operations people. Sales people specially in the early part of their career are mostly out of office meeting people and trying to convince these people to try their products. Operations persons on the other hand mostly have the luxury of sitting in their air conditioned offices and carrying out accounting, back office operations, documentation, customer service, man management etc. Hence first of all you need to figure out what sort of personality you are. Are you self confident, outgoing, extrovert, love to talk and make friends easily? If the answer to above questions is yes, your Personality type is more suited to be in Sales Profession. However if you are introvert, shy, egoistic, afraid of taking risk, wait for others to start a conversation with you, then may be Operations Profile is in alignment with your Personality. However you may find opposing personalities in both professions but they will be less in number.

Let me answer your second question first. When ever I see, listen or understand something which touches my heart, I try to share the same with my friends and Colleagues. Today in the morning, i came across two motivational video from Sandeep on you tube named "LAST Life-Changing Seminar by Sandeep Maheshwari in Hindi" and "Three Daya that changed my life". They are more than 2 hours video and are worth watching.

Sandeep Maheshwari is a renowned photographer who has created a World Record in professional photography. He is founder of an Online Site ImagesBazaar Which is World's Number 1 Collection of Indian images.

Sandeep starts his seminar by narrating his experience from one of his seminars of initial days, where he was so nervous that he could not even read from his notes. He tells his audience that earlier he was a shy, dabbu person with no friends. He never used to go anywhere outside his house. He was a College drop out. He learnt from his shortcomings and he says that today, he is so popular as a Speaker because of one reason that he always speaks truth and that too from the bottom of his heart. No rattafication. He says that if such a shy child like him can become a public speaker who speaks in front of thousands of people, then he feels that "Anybody on this Earth can do Whatever he wants to do". He asks his audience to always remember this line whenever we face failures in life and are demotivated. Then Sandeep assures his audience that this day is going to be one of biggest days of life of audience who are watching his Seminar. He says that he will never charge money for such seminars from his audience. He says you all must be wondering that what is my purpose of doing this Seminar.
